In February, Nothing But Nets will travel to Dallas and work with its partners, including the NBA, Major League Soccer, The United Methodist Church, and ExxonMobil to excite and engage the people in the Dallas area in the global effort to combat malaria. Below is information on the upcoming events!

World Malaria Day in Dallas!


World Affairs Council Forum on Genocide and Darfur

Thursday, April 17

• Starting at 9:30AM at Trinity High School, Nothing But Nets will provide over 700 youth conference attendees with information about global health challenges, as global health and genocide are connected.  Nothing But Nets will provide the youth with information on how to get involved in the Campaign and raise awareness about malaria prevention!

Mavericks Game Presentation

• The Dallas Mavericks have been very supportive of the Nothing But Nets campaign, and plan to host a check presentation during an upcoming home playoff game.  Stay tuned for more details!

Faith Leaders Luncheon

Tuesday, February 5

• On Tuesday, February 5th, Nothing But Nets will spend an afternoon with United Methodist leaders and community members to pray for children and families who suffer from malaria and discuss the current issues and threats posed by this disease. United Methodist leadership, including Bishop Alfred Norris, will host a faith luncheon focused on opportunities for United Methodists to get involved in Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.

Business Leaders Luncheon

Wednesday, February 6

• In partnership with ExxonMobil, Nothing But Nets will host a luncheon on Wednesday, February 6th, for corporate executives and philanthropists across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. ExxonMobil Foundation president Gerald McElvy will be speaking.

Nothing But Nets In-arena Event with the Dallas Mavericks

Wednesday, February 6

• Come support Nothing But Nets while cheering on the Dallas Mavericks as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks! During the game, Mavericks fans can learn about Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.

Malaria Workshop featuring DeSagana Diop

Thursday, February 7

• On Thursday, February 7th, the Dallas Mavericks, ExxonMobil, and Nothing But Nets will host a community event geared at engaging youth from Travis Middle School. The event will feature health experts, campaign partners, and DeSagana Diop, who will make a special announcement about his involvement in the Campaign. This event will aim to encourage youth and others to work within their communities to help to prevent malaria by getting involved in Nothing But Nets.
