In November, Nothing But Nets traveled to the Twin Cities to work with its partners, including the NBA, The United Methodist Church, and Hamline University to excite and engage the people in the Twin City area in the global effort to combat malaria. Below is information on the events!
Faith Leaders Breakfast

- On the morning of Tuesday, November 13, Nothing But Nets brought together 50-100 faith leaders at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church from across the Twin Cities to pray for children and families who suffer from malaria and discussed the current issues and threats posed by this disease. The discussion also focused on opportunities for faith groups to get involved in Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.
Nothing But Nets Malaria Workshop at Hamline University

- During the evening of Tuesday, November 13, Hamline University hosted a Nothing But Nets malaria workshop. The two-hour workshop engaged 200 students from area colleges and universities. The Boot Camp featured health experts, campaign partners, as well as other special guests such as professional athletes, and encouraged students to work within their communities to help prevent malaria by getting involved in Nothing But Nets.

- Hosted by United Nations Foundation, this Malaria Workshop engaged college students in an interactive workshop to learn more about the epidemiology and prevention of malaria and develop the communications and advocacy skills to save lives in Africa. Speakers included Dr. Chandy John, Director of the University of Minnesota Global Pediatrics Program, and third-year fellow Nadia Sam-Agudu.
