City Tours
Have you ever seen a giant mosquito wearing oversized sunglasses walking the streets of your city? We have.
Have you gone to a basketball or soccer game, and realized that nets are not only used for sporting events, but can also save lives? We have.
Or, have you ever heard a group of high school students in Atlanta rap about malaria prevention? We have.
And you can, too!
On April 25, 2007, Nothing But Nets™ launched a national City Tour to bring the campaign to communities around the country. Since then, Nothing But Nets™ has traveled to more than 16 U.S. cities including Dallas, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.

With our giant mosquito mascot in tow, we work with our local partners to encourage business leaders, city officials, faith leaders, students, athletes, youth, and sports fans to help raise funds and awareness to prevent malaria. Nothing But Nets™ is fortunate to work with dedicated partners and Champions who help to engage their local NET-works in this life-saving campaign. During past city stops, we’ve announced our partnership with pop sensation the Jonas Brothers, received a proclamation from Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., and participated in Major League Soccer’s MLS Cup activities in Los Angeles.
Since its inception, Nothing But Nets™ has engaged hundreds of thousands of individuals, raised tens of millions of dollars, and distributed more than 2.5 million nets to children and families in Africa. Through our Nothing But Nets™ City Tours, we continue to engage U.S. supporters of Nothing But Nets™. Raising local awareness is essential to affecting significant change on a global scale. In the fight to prevent the spread of malaria, every voice counts.
On April 25 of each year, millions of people around the world recognize World Malaria Day and the importance of preventing malaria. Check out the links below to see how we've commemorated this day over the last couple of years.
