Privacy Policy

Nothing But Nets and the UN Foundation are committed to protecting the privacy and security of visitors to our website. Outlined below is our online privacy policy for information collected through our website and e-mail lists. If you have questions about these policies, we encourage you to talk to us by email: info@nothingbutnets.net.

Credit Card Security:

Nothing But Nets is grateful for the donations that help us continue our work. It is very important to us that your personal information remain secure. When you donate to Nothing But Nets though the UN Foundation online, your credit card information is secured by a reputable security company (Verisign). Also, your credit card number is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored. You will see the "closed" lock symbol in the lower part of your browser screen (often times it is yellow as well) when you are on our secure donation pages. You will also notice in your web site address bar that the domain name starts with an "https" on those donation pages. This means that information entered on those pages is encrypted for your security. This actually makes it more secure than using a credit card in physical form at a store for example. If you have any questions regarding the security of your credit card donation online, please e-mail donations@nothingbutnets.net.

Resale or disclosure of information to third parties:

We do not share or otherwise disclose any personal information including your name, address, or e-mail addresses with other organizations. Only Nothing But Nets staff and our authorized agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.

Privacy of Email Addresses

Our Web site does not automatically recognize your e-mail address. We ask for your e-mail address on a number of pages within our site, but you may opt out of e-mail communications at any time by un-checking the box beneath where you entered in your e-mail address, or by clicking the unsubscribe link that is included at the bottom of every e-mail communication from Nothing But Nets or the UN Foundation. You may also call e-mail us at anytime at info@nothingbutnets.net to be removed.

Browser information collected on our website:

As with any website operator, Nothing But Nets analyze our website logs to constantly improve the value of our website. We use an external service to provide real-time reporting to us and our authorized agents of browser accesses to our site. This reporting includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect or track any Internet users' personally identifiable information.

Tell-a-friend

If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. The UN Foundation and the Nothing But Nets campaign will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. The UN Foundation and the Nothing But Nets campaign will store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact the UN Foundation at unf@unfoundation.org to request the removal of this information from the database at any time.
