World Malaria Day in Dallas!

In February, Nothing But Nets traveled to Dallas to work with its partners, including the NBA, Major League Soccer, The United Methodist Church, and ExxonMobil to excite and engage the people in the Dallas area in the global effort to combat malaria. Below is information on the upcoming events!

  • Starting at 9:30AM at Trinity High School, Nothing But Nets provided more than 700 youth conference attendees with information about global health challenges, as global health and genocide are connected.  Nothing But Nets provided the youth with information on how to get involved in the Campaign and raise awareness about malaria prevention!

Mavericks Game Presentation

  • The Dallas Mavericks have been very supportive of the Nothing But Nets campaign, and hosted a check presentation during a home playoff game.  Stay tuned for more details!

Faith Leaders Luncheon

  • On Tuesday, February 5th, Nothing But Nets spent an afternoon with United Methodist leaders and community members to pray for children and families who suffer from malaria and discussed the current issues and threats posed by this disease. United Methodist leadership, including Bishop Alfred Norris, hosted a faith luncheon focused on opportunities for United Methodists to get involved in Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.

  • On Thursday, February 7th, the Dallas Mavericks, ExxonMobil, and Nothing But Nets hosted a community event geared at engaging youth from Travis Middle School. The event featured health experts, campaign partners, and DeSagana made a special announcement about his involvement in the Campaign. This event aimed to encourage youth and others to work within their communities to help to prevent malaria by getting involved in Nothing But Nets.
