Assistance for Africa

Barbecued goat with couscous, fried plantains, fish stew and a host of other culinary delicacies were served during a special African dinner held Aug. 23 at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka. About 100 people attended the festive event. The evening was a fundraiser for Nothing But Nets, the United Methodist Church’s partnership with the NBA to get nets to malaria-stricken regions in Africa.
